Jewelry Hacks

What’s better than a life hack? A jewelry hack.

I have taken the liberty of compiling some trusty tricks that will make you love wearing your jewels even more.

Some necklace clasps are evil and seem to take revenge on you for being worn by stealing a swath of your hair and ripping it out from the root. Ok so maybe most necklaces aren’t sentient beings with a grudge, but still, necklace clasps that grab your hair are a bummer. To fix this cut a half inch length off a clear straw. Thread it onto your necklace, and then clasp it around your pretty little neck. Next, slide that piece of straw over to cover the clasp completely and crease the sides down by squeezing a bit. Your hair shall never again fall victim to the wrath of a diabolical clasp. You’re welcome.

Ever put on a necklace that chokes you so much you fear spending your evening gagging while trying to convince your date it’s the necklace, not his personality? Well, do I have a hack for you. Extend the length of your necklace by attaching a bracelet to the back and choke no more. If this seems scientifically impossible, rest assured, it is not. Just put the boy end of the necklace clasp into the girl end of the bracelet, and then put the boy end of the bracelet clasp into the girl end of the necklace. Now the only thing that will make you gag is your date’s cheap cologne.
